Svetlana Bakushina Fusion Project Closes 2025 Algarve Tour with Grand Finale in Lagos
September 27, 21:30 – Centro Cultural de Lagos
Duration: 90 minutes | Age rating: 6+
The Svetlana Bakushina Fusion Project concludes its 2025 Algarve tour with a final concert at the Centro Cultural de Lagos, marking the culmination of a series of sold-out performances across the region. The ensemble is recognised for its original music that draws from jazz, classical music, progressive rock, and a wide range of folk traditions.
“This finale celebrates the connections and friendships we’ve made through music,” said Bakushina. “We’re honored to close this chapter in Lagos with a performance that reflects the Algarve’s rich cultural spirit — a region that truly embodies the diversity at the heart of our work.”
The ensemble unites musicians from Portugal, Mexico, Chile, Siberia, Lithuania, and Germany. The main lineup features Svetlana Bakushina on piano, Seibas Gamboa on cello, Daniel Marques on saxophone, Jorge Carrilho on drums, and Katherine Valenzuela on vocals. For this final concert, the group will be joined by special guests: Marc Mennigmann on modular synthesizer, Carlos Rufo Martins on electric bass, visual artist Anastasia Maystrenko, and ballet dancer Ingrida Švedunova Yordanova.
This event is a multidisciplinary performance combining live music with immersive visual projections and choreography.
