DRUMMER, SONGWRITER, PRODUCER
Active in the fields of media and cinema since 1986, Carlos Martins began his professional experience in local radio stations in Portugal while owning a multi-track recording studio for local artists. From 1995 to 1997, he worked in collaboration with American companies such as MTV, ABC, and Westwood One for the co-production and distribution of radio programs, notably the Atlanta Olympic Games and as producer of the MTV Music Awards for live distribution in Portugal (radio).
In 1997, he moved to Los Angeles, USA, where he worked at Time Warner Cable as a scriptwriter and producer of local TV commercials. In 1999, he started working at Universal Pictures in Los Angeles, beginning as an assistant to Executive Producer Jonathan Gordon (Dogma, Good Will Hunting, among other films), later moving to the distribution division where he remained until 2009.
He specialized in sound design for films (sound effects, ADR, Foley, music, and final mix) at the SAE Institute in Hollywood and participated in numerous specialized equipment workshops at Yamaha, Euphonix (Avid), SSL, among others. Currently lives and works in Portugal, producing and publishing music as an independent musical artist.
